Nauryz celebration

Nauryz meiramy is a holiday of spring renewal in Kazakhstan. According to the Eastern calendar Nauryz, March 22 is the first day of the new year and coincides with the day of the spring equinox.

"Nauryz" means "birth of spring". It is believed that the generous celebration of Nauryz will bring abundance and success to the house for the whole year.

For the people of Kazakhstan, this holiday is a symbol of spring renewal, the triumph of love, fertility and friendship.

In keeping with the ancient traditions of Nauryz, this year's Nauryz celebration began in an original way: we, the HR department, announced a competition among the Company's departments for the best office design in the Nauryz style in different colors (the colors were chosen by lot). We thank all colleagues for their active participation and creative approach to this competition!

1st place was awarded to the Department of Capital Construction for the most creative approach, 2nd place to the Department of Logistics for the richest content, and 3rd place to the Department of Geology and Exploration for the liveliness and brightness of the design.

On April 21, with the onset of warm weather, we celebrated Nauryz in the open air. Moreover, our holiday coincided with the great holiday of Oraza Ait. And even nature pleased us with beautiful sunny weather.  

Guests of the holiday were welcomed with national music performed by the Kazakh national orchestra, beautiful white-winged yurts with a generous dastarkhan (treats), altybakan (swings), a photo zone in a Kazakh yurt with mighty batyrs (warriors). A Candy bar with sweets was organized for children, the animators guaranteed a fun time with the children.

The host of the holiday held various competitions and national games with the guests:

•       competition for the best Kazakh national costume;

•       dance competition between ladies and gentlemen of the Company (Dance battle);

•       Asyk atu (game of dice), langi tebu, kol kures (arm-wrestling);

•       dance flash mob.

During the breaks between games and competitions, the guests enjoyed Kazakh songs performed by a duet and beautiful dances of the Kazakh national ensemble.

Especially pleasant for the participants of the holiday was the drawing of valuable prizes provided by the Company.

A new pleasurable tradition is the performance of our corporate vocal and instrumental band, which includes Tazabekov Yerzhan Kakimovich, Abibullaev Talgat Kuanyshbaevich, Ustarmagatov Vyacheslav, Bainazar Dastan, Anuarbek Kanat, Khojashova Meiramkul, as well as the Artistic Director of the ensemble - Turovsky Valery Antonovich. The ensemble performed a number of Kazakh songs for the guests, such as “Nauryz”, “Kozimnin karasy”, “Kaydasyn”, “Men seni zhaksy koremin” and “Zhan dosym”.
