Horse racing 2023, Kyzylorda

The qualifying baige (horse racing) tournament- II among the southern regions of RK, in the framework of the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was kicked off on April 22, in Kyzylorda.

Akim of the Kyzylorda region Nurlybek Nalibayev, President of the Association of National Sports Islambek Salzhanov, President of the Republican Federation on Baige Kanat Kopbaev and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Kazpetrol Group LLP Orazkhan Karsybekov took part in the opening ceremony of the tournament.

Opening the event, the head of the region N. Nalibayev noted the culture of equestrianism, which deeply roots in the mentality of our people, its close connection with our history and traditions.

In his turn, President of the Association of National Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Islambek Salzhanov stressed that the President of Kazakhstan pays special attention to the development of national sports.

President of the Federation “Baige” Kanat Kopbaev, wishing success to the participants of the competition, noted the importance of baige for our people: “Equestrian sports, including baige, are the primordial traditions of our people. Equestrian sport is in our blood. This is not only a sport, but also a special culture and craft, the legacy of our great ancestors. Our duty is to develop and promote the national sport. I wish the athletes good luck today!”

More than 140 applications from participants from different regions of our country were accepted in Kyzylorda.

For the first time, a competition of national costumes was organized within the framework of the tournament, in which more than 60 ladies took part. The national costumes of the participants were evaluated for tailoring skills and creative expressiveness. The 1st place winner received a cash prize of 500,000 tenge. This competition was sponsored by our company.

The championship gathered about 6,000 spectators at the hippodrome, for them, in addition to the main Competitions, lotteries from Partners, zones with national games and a music program from the Ambassador of the Federation Asylbek Ensepov were organized.

The event was organized by the Republican Association "Bayge Federation" with the support of the Akimat of the Kyzylorda region.

The partners of the event were: Kusto Group, Kazpetrol Group, Astana Motors with the brand Hyundai Bayon, Compass, Olimpbet.

Kazpetrol Group acted not only as a sponsor of the event, but also took an active part in the organization itself. For our team, it was an invaluable experience in organizing such a large-scale event. In close contact with the local administration, our team, headed by General Director Yerzhan Tazabekov, consisting of Ilyas Abuov, Kanat Anuarbek, Aslan Akbaev and Meiramkul Khojashova, did a tremendous job related to the organization.

We would like to note the well-coordinated work of the local administration, namely, the Department of Culture and Sports of the Kyzylorda region represented by the head of the department Kazbekova Mira Zhomartovna, and her deputy Asylzhan Zhamankulov.

Without a doubt, the event achieved its goal - it was held at the highest level and became not just a spectacular event, but gave the residents of Kyzylorda a feeling of a family holiday. During the break, tournaments were held in national sports: arkan tartu (tug of war), kol kures (arm wrestling), kettlebell lifting.
